Santa Claus died of natural causes

I know we all thought Santa was eternal but it was actually quite amazing that he lived to his advanced age with his poor diet, diabetes and exposure to harsh elements (not to mention his abusive, alcoholic wife).

Salute, Santa! You're on that sleigh ride to the North Pole in the sky.

1. We used to make fun of my sister's 2nd grade teacher

because she had a stroke and would grimace and hold her arms weird. My Mother ended the fun making when she said that Santa had a stroke once. We were stunned!

3. My Mother is brilliant

We used to leave cookies,milk and a carrot for the reindeer. My Mother would gnaw on the carrot for a bit and throw it in the front yard for us kids to find. She was determined to keep us in believing Santa for as long as she could!
