The last thing I want to see is enforced mediocrity in baseball. Besides, the Yankees haven't won the WS for almost a decade, and the Rays (right at the bottom of payroll) made the Series last year.

Please, no salary caps. Baseball is the only sport where I can watch unrestrained spending either succeed in a big way (Boston, 2004 & 2007) or blow up in the team's face (Yankees didn't even make the playoffs last year).

The salary cap is why I lost interest in the NFL and why I care less about hockey than I used to. Please, please no salary caps in baseball. I was an Expos fan from start to finish, and would much rather have seen them pull a Tampa and lose the WS than win it just because the richer teams were handcuffed in order to make everything "fair."
