I may have screwed up on my internship
:banghead:

I've been working at arranging a paralegal internship with the public defender's office but I had to wait until I was sure I could arrange both a school and work schedule that would allow me to do it. Which I did and I wrote last week asking for the application which I got 2 days ago but now my advisor, who has to sign off on it, is out of town until the next quarter starts in January.

Why any of this surprises me, I don't know. I've been on this planet for 47 goddamn years and not one thing has ever come easy.

:banghead:

1. Talk to the secretary. Have her contact the advisor. It might be possible for someone else in...
the department to sign in place of your advisor.

3. I will try that
It's always the scenic route in my life. Just once, it would be kind of cool if everything just fell together. :P

2. Any chance you can get in touch with him and FedEx to him for the signature
I know, it's expensive.....but I was in this position once and that's what I had to do.

Good luck.

4. I'm going to contact the office
See if someone else can sign or if they can contact him. Yeah, if I have to, I'll do that - hopefully he didn't go to New Zealand for the break. Apparently he's got a place there, or family there or something.

Story of my life. ~sigh~

5. Let the P.D. office know that the advisor is gone and
you will do everything you can to get the application signed. It's hopefully a little glitch.

6. Good idea
Hopefully they won't see it as a sign of incompetence on my part.
