2. They tried to fix GORN with CGI? It's computers, not magic.

It's one thing to make slightly shitty things look less shitty, and another to just throw your hands up and say "this thing is pure shit, and we can't fix it except by replacing it, but we can throw in a totally incongruous blinking effect!"

3. Wrong! He's cheesier now than ever!

Those CGI effects are terrifically cheesy. With the bar of processing power and the average CGI animator's skillset constantly being raised, in a few years' time, the new versions will be as camp as the New Wave/disco version of Metropolis.
