Personally, I'm a big fan of just grabbing the stuff and running like hell. By the time they realize what happened, I am out to my car and driving off.

These retailers deserve it because of the horrendous mark-ups.

I'm a former produce clerk. I remember we'd put out fresh, pristine boxes of cherries... and later there would be several little pits sprinkled among them. People are so gross! :puke:

So there's a tip for you all - don't buy loose cherries! You never know whose spit you're coming in contact with. ;)

I'm sure it made people suspicious, especially seeing a guy walking out of the store without buying anything and a pack on his back, but I was only asked to leave once, and the one time I was actually "caught," the fucking chickenshit manager didn't even chase me as he was threatening to, and the getaway car (with my buddy driving) was right there in the parking lot.

When I had my store, most people just put stuff under their clothes. Pretty unoriginal.
