On Friday, he will turn 12 years old.

He's aware that Ottawa has a hockey team, but actually watching or playing a game? Forget it.

10. You know, I'd almost consider that
He's a VERY responsible kid. You lay down a strict rule and he follows it almost to absurdity.

But not quite yet.

12. Oh come on. He's 12. Soon he won't be interested in such things.
He'll be preoccupied with sex and driving a car.

The Grossology book!

My son LOVED that book - he's 12 as well.

he sounds like a neat kid, Happy Birthday to him!

Failing the gross thing, or if he already has it, how about snowshoes or some cool outdoor thing, like a kayak?

14. What a cutie pie!
I wish I could help with gift ideas. My oldest just turned 13 last month. These tween/early teen years are so hard for gift giving. Too old for the little kid stuff, too young for the "big" kid stuff!

Tell him Happy Birthday from DU!
