I actually got off easy this quarter -- the class i'm teaching did the final last week, so i am already done grading! Of course, i still have 7364 things to do... but at least they don't involve grading. :P

As a life-long Columbusite (52 and getting older by the minute) it's hard to believe that Mary Jo Kilroy is only the 2nd Dem rep from this district in my lifetime. I suffered through Sam DeVine, Chalmers Wiley and (the worst) Kasich. We all deserve someone better and finally get her. About freakin' time!

I'm over in OH-12 with Tiberi. :(

I think Kilroy is great-- smart, hard-working, cares about the citizens of Ohio. Especially right now, we need someone who will be looking out for working class people. She really deserved this win!

We were really rooting for Robinson! Funny story -- i was doing lit drops around Cbus, both our League of Young Voters guide and some lit pieces for Democratic candidates. One day i called up the woman who was coordinating the effort and told her the area i'd hit. She busted up laughing and said "I think you just lit-dropped a Robinson piece on Robinson's house!"

This race had been going on for so long I'd stopped following it and presumed the Republicn had won. This is a pleasant surprise and couldn't have come at a better time for Obama with all the media covering the recent losses in Louisiana and Georgia.
