9. Both actually,
The economic crisis is a great storyline for the media... it keeps us frightened and watching.

I also get the reality that this was a correction that most sane people could have seen a mile away but didn't stop because they blinded by greed.

15. You're right, probably not the best choice of words.

One can be poor and yet still have a rich life. Maybe "wealthy" would have been more accurate.

I love your old pics. How you been?

:hi:

17. sadly, this is probably fairly accurate...

:(

The amount of pain and destruction caused by global economic desire, greed and control seems to have no effect on those who promulgate it. You can visit pretty much any country on the planet and see the effects. A rising tide does not always lift all boats.

18. that's a tall challenge...
1. The global economy is arbitrage which seeks to exploit differences in regional labor, transportation and commodities costs versus variances in the regional prices of finished goods.

2. Billions in global trade occurs in drugs and war/weapons/crime (and most economics courses ignore this).

3. In spite of how bad things may look at the moment, as long as there are things to be bought and sold the global economy will not collapse; at least to the degree and in the way it would if this was the result of famine, world war or epidemic.
