I saw this in DCA in 1993 when I was there, unforgetable, extremely moving

I lost 2 of my best friends in 1990 and 1991,to that horrid disease, one was my Air Cal/American Airlines sales rep

The first time I walked around the Quilt, I saw a block with someone who shared the same birth date as me and I just lost it.

8. Yes. AIDS took a lot of bright people of my generation before their time.

I volunteered with the Quilt the last time it was in total at the Metrodome in Minneapolis. Basically, I patrolled around handing out tissues. I also got to read names over the PA system. It was very powerful.

all dates and countless bar buddies.

Before the cocktail the local gay rag would have an Obituary every other week and I would read it first when I got the paper just to see who died.

It's not like that anymore.

In honor of Uncle Doug.

He had a gold VW bug with a sunroof. We always had fun when we were with him... and I remember his hardy laugh and quick wit. But he was no match for that horrible disease.
