5. What was that show with Michael Richards as this crazy kid
who played with his army toys in a weird way?

And a cook who made everything with ganja?

It wasn't my favorite, but for some reason it just popped into my head and I can't remember the name. Fridays, maybe?

Anyway... I can't choose between Monty Python and Kids in the Hall.

8. Are you kidding? NO Carol Burnett?
The Carol Burnett Show! I don't care that it was called a variety show - at its core was sketch comedy, and much of it still stands as the best ever.

Example: "I saw it in the window and I just couldn't resist."

My own runner up would be the Not Ready for Primetime Players.

14. One of the best shows ever.
She's criminally underrated as a comedian. But the whole cast was great on her show.

19. Another vote for SCTV
Edited on Mon Nov-24-08 04:25 PM by JohnnieGordon
Actually voted for SNL for some reason thinking it said SCTV. I was assuming surely SCTV would be listed, but it wasn't.

2nd place would be a tie between Mr. Show and MadTV during it's heyday, which I say was '99-'03. The original cast of SNL and the Phil Hartman era were also pretty good.

22. They are some of my favs too
I have all 4 seasons of "A Bit of Fry and Laurie" on DVD as well as just about every season of French and Saunders tucked away on an external HD.

Ever see "That Mitchell and Webb Look"? I find their style of "humour" to be very similar to Fry and Laurie

I also think Armstrong and Miller are very underrated as well the Chav WWII pilot sketches are brilliant http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fQ9yj_BXRp0...Oh and I can't forget about The Fast Show, that was great too. I'm a bit of a sketch comedy dork

I like the clips I've seen a lot.

I haven't seen "That Mitchell and Webb Look?", but I will now that you compare them to Fry and Laurie. Thanks for the heads up. It's always cool to discover new comedy. :hi:

28. Definitely gotta go with Mr. Show.
Chappelle's Show and KITH both kick major amounts of ass though.

Although I notice that Upright Citizens' Brigade is noticeably absent from this list.

34. A few others: Man Stroke Woman, Big Train
Big Train ran in 1998 and 2002. Written by the guys that wrote "Father Ted" (although one of them wasn't involved in the second series). Featured Simon Pegg.

Man Stroke Woman ran in 2006-2007 (there might be more on the way, I'm not sure). Featured Nick Frost.
