Look, internet is here to stay. TV is going digital. And it is not all a conspiracy against the public!

3. They said the same thing about the fight over the two color formates,
the UHF and VHF signals and the introduction of cable television. I am just sick of the complaining of how this is against the people and that is against the people. How Unions have destroyed the economy and how I am "brainwash with Liberal ideas".

2. ...and when they first started putting flouride in drinking water.
My dad lives near my sister in Texas, and he will soon be 92. He and I did not speak for several years, but 3 years ago I called him a few times, sent him birthday presents, etc, so we are OK again.
Also several thousand miles apart (I live in PA).

I don't know a solution for this except to give him and yourself enough room, and try to reconcile before he dies.

4. I have the same problem with my mother.
Every time I try for a reconciliation, she does something to start an argument or provoke trouble. She was an abusive parent when I was young, and she thinks she can continue that pattern. She will be eighty in March.

I am not sure there will ever be a reconciliation, but I try every once in awhile.

5. I pretty much gave up, but my sister encouraged me to try again
a few years ago.
Since I never get within a few thousand miles of him, and talk only a few times a year, things have improved.

If we were closer together geographicly, I doubt we would even be speaking.
