Goddammit, I'm tired....
Edited on Sun Feb-29-04 01:42 AM by NightTrain
I'm currently on the air at my college radio station. I was supposed to be gone by 1:00 a.m., but the guy who does 1-3 called up to say he was sick with the flu. So I'm stuck on the air until the 3-6 a.m. D.J. gets here. Hope he shows up early, because I'm fading quickly. And I still have a half-hour drive home! :boring:

1. so say something outrageous----talk into the radio
about what you'd really like to do, and pull a Howard Stern moment in bashing Bush ;-)

2. Drive home safely! With the windows open and cold air on your face.
And call us when you get there, okay?

4. Hi, Night Train. Hang in there --
-- and maybe play "Tupelo Honey" by Van Morrison or something by Nina Simone. Or choose your favorites and put them into people's ears out somewhere in the dark.

I like the position you're in -- you know your music (your posts on DU prove it) -- and you can put some really fine things into people's craniums tonight.

Do it for whoever's out there in the dark.

7. I used to do midnight - 3AM
Saturday night into Sunday morning on my college radio station. Did that shift for 2 1/2 years.

Played a lot of Jean Michel-Jarre, Tangerine Dream, Klaus Schulze and fusion jazz, like Weather Report and Chick Corea/RTF.

8. Time for the deejay's best friend...
...Stairway to Heaven.

Take a smoke, visit the soda machine, do some sit ups, work on your taxes, have another smoke.

Then, Inagoddavita.

Take a smoke, visit the soda machine, do some sit ups, work on your taxes, have another smoke.

Then, Alice's Restaurant.

Take a smoke, visit the soda machine, do some sit ups, work on your taxes, have another smoke.

Then, Thick as a Brick by Jethro Tull

Take a smoke, visit the soda machine, do some sit ups, work on your taxes, have another smoke.

Take a smoke, visit the soda machine, do some sit ups, work on your taxes, have another smoke.

Take a smoke, visit the soda machine, do some sit ups, work on your taxes, have another smoke.

Then go home.

I haven't slept a wink,
