"Chuck" anyone else love this show?
It is the lead in to "Heroes" which I know a lot of people here love but "Chuck" is just good TV
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0934814/

It doesn't hurt that everyone on the show (except the Buy More staff) is easy on the eyes.
The story itself is a classic "Man thrown out of his element and forced to adapt"

The characters are fantastic

Especially Adam Baldwin and "John Casey". Baldwin was "Animal Mother" in "Full Metal Jacket"
He has a framed picture of Ronald Reagan that he says goodnight to every night as he goes to sleep "Good night sir"
He has a Ford Granada because, as he points out repeatedly to Chuck, "this IS taxpayer money"
The Reagan picture came back into play when Casey was sprayed in the face with some sort of chemical weapon. He is clearly at the end so he reaches up, grabs the picture, and says "Sorry Sir". Then he punches the picture and gets what was probably an atropine injector hidden in the back and saves himself.

Yvonne Strahovski as "Sarah Walker" absolutely steals the screen. They changed her cover from working at a hot dog stand ;-) across the parking lot from the BuyMore that Chuck works at to an gelatin ice cream store and she now spends the first half of the show in an orange tanktop. Orange is her color!! She is great in the fight scenes and her dance around actually being in a relationship with Chuck is classic TV and very well done. I read an article on her and she is Australian classicly trained actress who got cast for this show the first week or two she was in L.A.

Add to this the subplot at the BuyMore and the staff there AND Chuck's sister Sarah Lancaster as "Ellie"(they have toned down what appeared to be REAL chemistry between her and her TV brother since the first season-it was noticeable) and Ellie's fiance who is simply known as "Captain Awesome" (he too is not too hard on the eyes I am told) because he simply is ...AWESOME.

High production values and great story lines. I highly recommend it.

1. It's one of my favorites.
Easily one of the best shows on TV right now, including cable.

4. I am particularly liking this second season
I think they've fixed a lot of the problems from the first season - like letting Chuck be smart.

I adore Captain Awesome.

5. I LOVE "Chuck"!!
Yeah, I also love Chuck/Zach Levi...if I may entertain my cradle-robbing tendencies for a moment... :9 :loveya: Okay, I'm done.

I was just singing the praises of this show not only for the clever storylines, the way they manage to make the characters "real" in a hyperreal situation, the great relationships (doesn't everyone have a clingon friend like Morgan?), but also for the hilarity of the Buy More. Anyone who has worked retail for even 15 minutes KNOWS the place, the management, the slacker staff members...ah, takes me back to my retail days!

Confession: I never have the chance to watch any shows live, but late on Monday nights or Tuesdays, when I hit the TiVo, I watch Chuck before Heroes. I'm loving it so much more than the NBC go-to workhorse, which is way too overwrought this season for my taste. Chuck is actually--gasp!--more clever at this point!
