My contract, $29 US per month, covers 450 MB of data transfer. In addition, I pay CHF .20 per text message and phone calls are extra, too. But I make very few phone calls via iPhone.

6. i check the text messages online to see what number she's up to, i told her the first
month she goes over 1500 she has to pay her own bill, so far so good because the second you go over that 1500 that charge for each gets stupid.

8. One of our goddaughters nearly bankrupted her dad a year ago
with text messages that weren't covered by the contract. He learned awfully quickly to read the fine print. x(

9. my darling nephew had a similar problem with verizon, i asked my sil if she ever
bothered to look at the plan---"No!" When my kid got her iphone the first thing i did was look at the plan and told her straight up---you understand what your allotment is on text msgs correct? We did a "check for understanding" and she was cool but i have heard so many horror stories about cell phone bills.

2. $29 per month for each.
I have one and my husband has one. There now are cheaper contracts, but we signed our contracts when the 3G iPhone was pretty new here.

$40 voice, $30 data, $4 AAA insurance, and the rest are those fees nobody knows anything about.

Oh, I use AT&T's 3G service; I use their Tilt Smartphone...
