10. Same here, the aspartame scares me away from all but the very rare diet soda.

And I used to drink a LOT of diet soda in my younger days. After I read up on aspartame and stopped drinking diet soda about ten years ago, my sense of smell returned and my eyes were no longer perpetually bloodshot. It came as a shock to me; the effect that stuff was having on my body and I didn't even know it. I wonder what else it was doing that I couldn't see. Scary.

And of course the Donald Rumsfeld-aspartame connection should come as a surprise to no one. Google it if you want yet another reason to hate the guy.
