chick movies have never really worked for me (even though I am, technically... I'm a woman, okay?) Politics, history, engineering, art, art history, psychology, literature, (so on and so forth) have always fascinated me more than... weddings and stuff. And I've been married.. : )

Politics is fascinating. It's like the Superbowl for those of us who don't get sports at all...

It's not the battle for getting a ball across some yard line or in a little hole or in some outfielder's mitt - it's the battle for IDEAS... which is better, which makes sense, which ones people care most about, which we are willing to sacrifice for, work for.... die for.

Romance is so simplistic in comparison... then again, I have no idea what romance means anymore. But thought, reason, purpose - those are significant turn-ons.
