1. I'll admit to liking it, with an explanation of why--
1st--it's iconic. The simple lines and colors make the image instantly recognizable. The tilt of the head and the set of the mouth suggest looking up to the future in a positive and determined way.

2nd--The color elements are blue & red--and this is meaningful as it suggests unity between red and blue states. It bears the "O" logo, and one simple message:

3rd--Hope. It's a noun, and an imperative. Have hope--hope yourself. Keep hoping. And realize somebody else is hoping alongside you.

4th: It suggests, but doesn't directly remind me of any style of political art that came before--well, you know, the art-posters during the New Deal--but why ever would that persuade....say!

Psych! No drama, the sign is simply about Obama, and uses a little to say a lot.

2. It reminds me of a postage stamp
I think I'd rather have one of him smiling a little more.

3. It makes me think of Andy Warhol
And its not that I don't like Warhol...but it just seems totally out of place right now. Just my opinion.

4. I've had that on my desk since early Spring
Picked up a beautifully printed, vivid version in a bar of all places - on one of those racks of advertising postcards that hip bars have near the restroom.

(OK, I rarely go to hip bars in the city, either, but I just happened to be eating at one)

Grabbed it because it was so compelling, and am really glad I did!

6. I guess they had to do the red and the blue because Obama wants to bring
everyone together. I think it would look better if it were all black (Obama) on a blue background.
