1. I live for November
From about April on, I sit in the dark with the thermostat set on COLD, and wait for November to come back.

16. I took this one in NH last mid-October about 8:30am.
A morning fog was just burning off. This was around the Franconia area.

17. breath taking
That is fantastic, splendid, amazing, worthy of being a gift to a king.

Usually when I see such an image, I think, eeeee I can see me right there in an antique Old Town wooden canoe - but not this time. No, it would spoil something so perfect - AHH!

5. I go outside just because!
My favorite time of year too. I adore the smell of wood burning fireplaces, the chill in the morning air and the bright-varied colors of the leaves. I look forward to Halloween too, even though we rarely get many kids. That and the fact that you can pretty much go to the market in your PJs but with boots and an overcoat no one knows!

8. I can't agree more
Perhaps there is a touch of morbid to it since it involves the death of leaves and so much green but the crisp air, the colors and even the stark beauty that is beging to emerge this late in the season as branches become bare and skies more gray is determinately my favorite it is as you say full of "Character" it's interesting.

I guess all transitions are, spring is similar but somehow it is autumn that really captures me.

14. the ULTIMATE cat spot!
You make me feel completely remiss as a bi-pedal opposed-thumb slave to 2 cats. My cats are usually rared up on my clean laundry or in my bed.

12. It's not just because of your b'day?
:D

Actually, I love this season, as well. Second only to Spring, which is my fave.

13. Mine too!
We've been having a lot of days lately, where the sun is shining and there is a comfortable warmth in the air, but underneath, there is a hint of cool. I love days like that.

Heck, I just love fall!

15. I love fall.
But because of where I live, I don't get to enjoy it except by visiting other places.

Our weather does change down here, but the best part of November is that hurricane season is over.

I was in NC last week and plan to be there again in two weeks. Hoping for a Vermont trip soon.

Never been to New England, can you imagine?
