2. This may or may not be helpful but, I can't on my old mac at home but can
upload there on my new one at work. The old one has Panther, I think, and the new one I think has Tiger. And my safari at home is old and lots of sites don't work on it. (My home computer is to shitty to spend money on upgrading.) Sorry I don't have a real answer, but maybe that will provide some clues. Good luck.

4. Upload from where?
I just uploaded a photo from from desktop to photobucket. We have a Power Mac G4, never had a problem with this. Did you try choosing "Use old uploader" option at the bottom of the "choose files" box?
