Just letting off some steam.

Saw a matchmaker the other day. No go for the profiles she showed me. It's like she made a half-assed effort or really wasn't getting what I'm looking for.

They have my profile, we had the long interview, why aren't you paying attention to it?
May have to see someone else if she can't set me up with some people I can see myself having a long relationship with.

Hope the matches get better. :eyes:

1. okcupid.com seems to do ok....
Are you talking about using an actual person as a matchmaker? I'd go for something online where you can screen the profiles yourself, perhaps. I've met some really cool people that way. :)

2. Tell me about it...
I tried posting and ad on craigslist - I just want to meet a few people, low key, no pressure, just hanging out or whatever, so I listed it on casual encounters, and every one I meet wants to tear my clothes off! I don't get it? :wtf:

3. LOL.
I think by casuan encounters, these people mean casual sex, and you mean something else.
At least you didn't post in the swingers section.
LOL.

5. The sister of a friend of mine paid an expensive matchmaking service
to find people for her, and she specified that she wanted well-educated, liberal men. It turned out that they didn't have a lot of any kind of men in her age group, so they kept setting her up with uneducated, conservative men.

I've never had much success with personal ads or even okcupid, but the most attractive prospects seem to be on the Guardian's website. I haven't joined, because it's rather expensive, but the men all seem really intelligent.
