Holy fuck...we just clipped Milk's claws
:wow:

I have NEVER seen a cat freak out like that over claw clipping. It's a miracle that we aren't both bleeding to death.

I'm making an appt. to get Soft Paws put on asap. She gave Kitteh a bad wound on his face that I think may require a trip to the Vet. Something's gotta give here. Jeebus.

3. Excellent idea...or else you have to have Milk sedated to cut her claws.

4. My Vet will put the Soft Paws on...
All I know is that I'm never trying that again. You'd think we were trying to murder her. Jeez Louise.

9. Whoa, that is one pissed off cat!
She wasn't that loud, but very very thrash-y. It was nuts, but I got all 4 feet done.

Now, to wash poor Kitteh's wound and subject him to the dreaded lampshade collar. Sigh.

11. that's how Bob gets when i clip his and his nails are black so i'm always afraid
i'm going to cut them too far, i do have the styptic powder but it's never a good time. I took him to the vets once to have them cut and he peed all over her, like a huge amount and he still ended up bleeding.

12. I managed to not cut the quick on any of them!
:woohoo:

Which is amazing, considering the fight she put up. Un-fucking-believaable.

Oy, and now Kitteh just spewed up all of the wet food he just ate. Jeebus Christ, what's going on around here tonight?!

14. Try doing just one paw at a time. Less traumatic that way if you divide up the time
they are under duress. Though it sounds like nothing would have helped Milk calm down.

15. I would have, but after what she did to Kitteh's face,
I felt it best to get all four done at once.

16. I would do them while they are sleeping.
I could usually get at least a couple of toes done. Sometimes, if they were especially sleepy, I could get them all done.
