I offered a guy a job today, after which he complimented me on my incredible email skills.
After he accepted the job, I shook his hand, welcomed him aboard, and started to walk him to the door. On the way out, he told me that he does a lot of emailing for work, and mine are among the best he's ever seen in terms of grammar, structure, etc.

I thought that was a peculiar and pretty comical compliment!

Just kidding!

That is an odd kind of compliment, but it could mean he's an intellectual type, for whom that kind of compliment is on the same level as saying someone's formulae are efficient and elegant.
