I JUST SHOOK BILL CLINTON'S HAND - TWICE!
OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG

Attended a rally for Senate candidate Rick Noriega, and Bill Clinton spoke. That was thrilling enough, but my friend suggested we try to get near Bill Clinton as he shook hands, and we got to shake his hand!

I always laugh when people say "I'll never wash this hand again!", but that's how I feel right now. This makes up for missing out on a Morrissey handshake last year!

4. Too late
There was a guy at the rally jumping up and down with me because we'd both shaken Clinton's hand, and we shook hands. Then I told the gym employee we always talk to after our workouts about it and shook his hand to pass it on. Then I took a shower after the gym. But the thrill lives on!

6. So cool!
That's one thing on my bucket list. He's a big hero of mine, and I'd love to meet him in person. The closest I got was at a speech he gave....after the speech he was shaking hands with people in the audience, but secret service turned him away before he got the chance to come my way.

Notable politicians I have met/shook hands with:

Janet Reno
Joe Biden
John Edwards
Howard Dean
Evan Bayh
Bill Nelson
Bob Graham
Robert Wexler
Steny Hoyer

7. I've shaken the Billsters hand twice, too.
Two different functions on the South Lawn of the White House, back in the good old days.

The best was the Fourth of July fireworks display, with a great view of the Washington Monument, and Ray Charles piped in from the far end of the mall singing "God Bless America". Made even a cynic like me feel heart-thumpin' patriotic.

8. Derby and I were at that rally!
No air conditioning but nobody cared! I didn't get close enough to shake his hand, but congrats to you for doing it. Really. I'm happy for you. Really. :P
I've only been in the same room as Eisenhower, Kennedy and after last night, Clinton. Oh and twice with Obama since I believe he'll be elected.
