I bought new jeans yesterday...in a size 6!!!! Whoohoo!! (and yes, I eat Subway. Seriously.)
I'm sorry to brag; but I have been waiting over four years to get to this point!! I'm so excited!

I've been doing a number of things; but yes, one of them includes eating Subway at least once a week; if not twice. It's a treat for me; and for only $5 a sub, I can't make it cheaper at home. I get the oven roasted chicken breast with all the veggies and southwest sauce only; plus a little oregano. On the honey oat bread. Yum.

I haven't been on a diet as such; I just cut out all sodas and all fried foods. It actually wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. I drink my southern sweet tea with..gasp...REAL SUGAR (for some reason, real sugar has never bothered my system; it's the corn syrup of course) and water. I have been having lots of red wine (cab; once a day); and an occasional (once a week) vodka and cranberry. I have bread with my meal about twice a week (not counting the subs); but it's a multigrain organic. Been using my Foreman grill like it's going out of style. Lots of grilled chicken and lean beef strips; occasional fish. And lots of grilled veggies with a balsamic vinegar reduction - my fave.

I think my real helpers have been my supplements; actually. I am probably taking too much, but I feel great, so I'm going to keep on with it. If anyone would like a list of what I'm taking and for what; I'd be glad to tell you; but don't want to be seen as giving out unsupported 'medical' advice. I am no expert in any way.

Oh! and I dry brush my skin at least twice a day. I think that's helped a lot.

So, yay me! In these very uncertain times; I am glad to have something to celebrate.

3. Awesome
I went on a mini boot camp spree last week, I dropped a belt notch, but managed to put on 2 pounds of weight. I can feel most of it in my leg muscles.

Doh!

4. I'd love to know which supplements you take.
I take a few to keep my metabolism in check (L-Carnitine, CLA, 7-KETO). I'm a hardcore believer in them.

And congrats on the new skinny jeans!

7. Here's my daily:
Right now:

Metabolisim and Cellulite:
CLA (HIGH dosage of this: 5,000 to 6,000 to get effectiveness; so I take a couple with each meal/snack)
EV Coconut Oil (same)
Green Tea (I take a couple capsules a day; and sometimes drink a couple cups as well - I love hot tea!)

Cellulite (of course these have various other benefits as well):
Grapeseed (twice a day)
Dandelion (twice a day)
Gotu Kola (once a day)
Ginko Biloba (once a day)
Milk Thistle (once a day - esp. since I drink on a regular basis; I also started this to help with hormonal problems)
Calcium (once a day)
Vit.C (once a day)
Omega-3s (twice a day - I did take a 3-6-9 supp.; but then read some differing opions about how much we needed; so now I eat a regular amount of good fish and either add flax seed to yogurt daily; or take a flax supplement)
Collagen (twice a day; Types I & II)

I'm thinking about addin L-Carnitine to this, like you have. Haven't decided yet.

8. If you add L-Carnitine (which is also really good for your heart, btw)
I have two recommendations: One, take it in liquid form (I usually pour the equivalent of 1500 mg into my coffee or tea, and it adds no discernable taste, other than a TINY bit of sweetness from glycerin it's mixed with). I try to take mine before working out to get optimum benefits.

Two, it's hard to find in liquid form, and can be expensive. I get mine from Puritan vitamins (but make sure you use the puritansale.com URL to get their "secret" 70% off price). It's around $7 a bottle, and a bottle lasts me about 2 weeks.

It works well with the CLA you're already taking, btw. I've only just started the 7-KETO, which is supposed to be a serious metabolism booster; I'll try to remember to let you know how it works for me.

12. What's your dandelion dosage?
Fairly potent diuretic there.

One 540mg a day; sometimes two; but not often.

20. It came out of various quack treatments for AIDS in the 80s.
May have even been part of standard quackery before then, but that's when it got some more widespread promotion.

9. Brag all you want and good for you!
It's hard to lose weight and stick to a routine. But what do you mean by brushing your skin? You should send a letter to Subway and they might give you coupons or something.

18. Good for you!
It sounds like you're onto a good thing, diet-wise: you aren't eliminating foods but you are eating good foods in moderation, and treating yourself on occasion. That's the best way to diet because you can maintain it life long.

19. Fortunately, I may be buying size 6 jeans on my next clothes shopping trip.
Just six months ago, I was a size 12. Now my size 8's are becoming too big. I haven't been dieting, but for some reason, I haven't had too much of an appetite.
