We are going to Miramar for the Air Show tomorrow morning
I am going to see a full Blue Angels show for the first time ever. I have been at a Cubs game when the Blue Angels did a fly by, but I have never seen their full show!

:bounce::bounce:

I will also get to see the B-2 fly again. I saw the B-2 fly by at the Rose Parade on New Years Day 2002.

1. That sounds fun
the Blues are awesome!

I have seen them do some amazing things, including going supersonic LOW over downtown Traverse City Michigan blowing out quite a few windows of local businesses.

2. Cool!
I have seen the Thunderbirds several times (my husband's dad was career Air Force, so he has an affinity for the 'Birds). I am really looking forward to the Blues!

3. MrG and I used to love taking BabyG to the airshow. The Blue Angels
practice right about our house when they are in town. The last time we went though, BabyG met Jim Leroy and he was very nice to him. The next week Mr. Leroy was killed in a crash at the Dayton airshow...right in front of his young son. It made me rethink taking BabyG to airshows. But...now...who knows.

Have fun. I loved watching the Blue Angels. Right now I am fighting with a guy over a youtube video I posted, showing an FA-18...that he is arguing is an F-15. Hello? I was there numbnuts.

4. I remember you posting about the air shows!
:hi:

I really enjoy them. I always try to take pictures, most of the pictures do not turn out though.

When we lived in Minnesota, both my husband and I volunteered for a local air show (the show was not allowed to do the aerobatics because of the small airport's proximity to MSP). I loved seeing the B-17 and the B-25 go up. Certainly not as breathtaking as the fighter jets, but awesome in their own right. Such history.

5. We used to work the SANG one with Civil Air Patrol.
I love when they fly the Mustang next to the F-15 in a flyover. BabyG is such a flyboy that it makes me so very sad that he is colorblind. He can identify a jet at night, by the lights. He's amazing.

6. That is a shame about the colorblindness.
That is pretty incredible that he can ID jets at night that way.
