I live in Las Vegas and watched the entire trial on local TV and TruTV. There was almost nothing there other than a loud confrontation among scum. Even the TruTV anchors were saying it was very weak case and might not even be tried other than the identity of the defendant.

But I can't say I'm stunned. You had a pro-prosecution judge who ruled against the defendants at every turn and David Roger the local DA prosecuted the case himself after a very long absence from trying a case. He was furious when his underlings lost the previous high profile case on retrial, the Ted Binion murder case that Roger prosecuted successfully along with (now judge) David Wall in 2000. The Nevada Supreme Court ruled judicial error inspiring a retrial. Roger wasn't taking any chance on Las Vegas getting a bad rap for losing another high profile case.

There's no way O.J. can get a fair trial in this city. Obviously he murdered his ex-wife and Goldman but in looking at this as a separate incident he was screwed. I've been in that courthouse enough times on jury duty and I'd hate to face charges here. It's the most pro-prosecution environment I've ever seen.

O.J. won't get a light sentence with Glass as judge. She's high profile already and putting O.J. away for his life, or close to it, would enhance her celebrity and status.

But there's a chance the Nevada Supreme Court could rule that Simpson's co-defendant was harmed by the cases not being split.

When the jury stayed out late tonight I had a feeling they would try to get this over with before the weekend.
