4. It's barely thinking about making dinner time here.
I'm thinking some kind of thing involving seitan in a mushroom wine gravy. Maybe some red potatoes. Lots of garlic and onions. I think I'm going to wing it.

And I think this weekend I want to make something off of hezbollah tofu.

11. Gee, I'll have to ask my wife the name of the CSA
it is in Milton, part near the Blue Hills, another in Governor Stoughton's Estate.

Classes are going fine; A's so far plus extra credit.

my lunch offer still stands by the way. :hi:

13. Yes! We must do that soon!
Remind me, when are you on campus? Things have been so crazy, I barely have my head on straight. :)

And yes, if you could ask her, that would be great. :hi:

Tuesdays and Thursdays before class from 7:00PM to 8:15PM, or after.

We can make the lunch arrangements there. Sniffa is invited too, of course.

ETA:

The CSA is Brookwood, though the manager is going to take fewer members next year because she took too many this year. She tries to donate 20% of the crop to food banks, and this year she was not able to do that because of large membership and thin crops.

12. Beef ribs
mashed potatoes and a veggie yet to be sacrificed.
The mashed potatoes are those frozen microwable...mikrov...uh nuker "potato buds" that hubby asked me to get at the grocery. Looks like he fixed the whole bag. I need to teach him about "servings."

Plus the stuff tastes like the kind you had in school.

15. NO idea. The boy is cooking, and he's been known to come up with some wild dishes.
And sometimes, not in a good way. :scared:

He was relatively tame last night, though, with an outstanding platter of nachos for debate-side dining.

18. It's Friday so...
Edited on Fri Oct-03-08 07:40 PM by hippywife
it's homemade pizza. This week it's a whole wheat crust spread with a pesto made from garlic scapes from one of the producers in our food coop, topped with a small dash of grated parmesan, mushrooms, marinated artichoke hearts and slices from a ball of fresh mozz. Husband's eating it now, says it's good. I don't quite feel up to eating yet...headache.

Whachoo havin'? :hi:

Needless to say I'm still hungry, so I might heat up some leftovers or something, although I'm in a lazy mood right now.
