5. In a small store-front office somewhere filled with cartons and packages and
slender young kids wearing bicycle gear and looking at him funny.

He mistook "Message Service" for "Massage Service."

7. Thank you, thank you.
I'll be appearing at Laffs-A-Lot in Seattle until the end of next week. Remember to tip your waitresses... B-)

 Mmmmmmmmmm! Doesn't a hug feel good?

8. Is Laffs-A-Lot a real club in Seattle?
The hug feels very good, thank you. :pals:

Do you like "Frasier?"

9. No, I just made that up. The clubs I know in Seattle are music clubs, not comedy clubs.
I loved "Frasier" when it was on. David Hyde Pierce is one of the most gifted physical comedians in the country right now. And Jane Leeves? Sigh! :loveya: I just love an English accent on a lady. But Kelsey Grammer? *ugh!* FREEPER!

You know the view outside of Frasier's apartment building? That view doesn't exist in real life. On the site where you'd be most likely to see that view, instead of a twenty-story condominium, there's only a low, three-story brick apartment building. Nevertheless, my brother, who manages Seattle's most successful limo service, used to drive tourists up there when he was a chauffeur, and show them the "Frasier view". :-)

10. I love them all, even Kelsey Grammar, yes even though he is
a freeper, he was still funny in that show.

That's a great story, I kind of figured that that was a fake view.

Yes, I loved David Hyde Pierce. In real life, he is an openly gay man, who has lived with another man for the last 20 or so years. :)

11. Yeah, Grammer was funny on the show. Now he's doing shit like "An American Carol."
Does he really need the money that bad?

And I was really glad to see David Hyde Pierce come out at the Tonys. I'm not gay, but I can't imagine being in the closet is a happy way to spend one's life.

I understand John Mahoney (Martin Crane) is pretty supportive of the Dems, although I've yet to see hard evidence.

12. Yes, it is too bad that he is in "An American Carol."
But, do you think that an actors political views or roles in other films should affect the enjoyment of something like "Cheers" or "Fraiser?" I don't. They were great shows and he was funny in them. That's all you can ask. I do not like what he stands for, but it's not like he's a mass murderer or a nazi.

I love John Mahoney. :)

13. It depends on the actor. Robert Duvall is an astounding actor, and his politics don't bother me.
But I was astonished by Dennis Hopper's night journey to the dark side. What the hell happened to him?

How did that happen?

Also, I love, love Robert Duvall. I loved "The Apostle."

15. 'Fraid so. Imagine, the director of "Easy Rider' turned repuke!
He claims it happened after 9/11. He accuses Democrats of "dithering". As if that's worse than recklessly and impulsively going after everybody but the guys who did it! The repuke mindset seems to be "It doesn't matter who were are killing, as long as we are killing SOMEBODY!" :grr::mad:

17. I've seen it twice. Jack Nicholson's role is very deservedly praised.
Hard to believe that Dennis Hopper and those rednecks in the truck now support the same politicians... :eyes:

Do you remember him talking about seeing the Venusian spaceships? Whole formations of Venusian spaceships. :) Where are you, Jeff? Did the Venusians take you?

19. My favorite part (very relevant today): "Y'know, this used ta be a hell of a country..."
The wistfulness of that is achingly sad.

20. Well, when was it a "hell of a country?"
Seems like we've always had our problems with racism, poverty, and sexism, etc.

But, yeah, I sort of know what that's like. It's been a rough 8 years.
