14. Hallelujah? Sexy? Interesting.
I think it is plaintive, aching, and often emotionally shattering. But I've never thought of it as sexy. What do you think is sexy about it?

15. I'm not sure...
maybe I find plaintive and emotionally shattering sexy? And it's not every version, just this particular one. Great, now I'm thinking I might have to go back to therapy...

In that case you would find me extremely sexy when I hit my pinky toe into a door.

22. Skip the therapy. Instead, listen to Leonard Cohen's original version.
It has a gospel fervor to it that transcends his rather gloomy voice. And I guess I can see why you find the Jeff Buckley version appealing. I first heard it on an episode of "The West Wing". It played in the aftermath of the murder of a secondary character that a main character had fallen in love with.

29. Well, the song has earned for itself a permanent air of tragedy ever since
Jeff Buckley drowned at age 30. Seemingly every TV show for the last ten years or so has used the song (in several of its versions) to convey sorrow, pathos and tragedy. The bad and mediocre shows try to get the song to do the emotional heavy-lifting that the shows' writers weren't able to do for themselves. In the good shows (like "The West Wing) it was just wrenching...

Speaking of therapy, my mother used to teach music therapy to autistic children. Sometimes, music was the only thing they would register a response to. That's pretty cool...
