I think it was truly *Divine Intervention* as this is the first birthday for me since I lost my dear Larry.
This day last year he was being admitted to the hospital for transfusions (which they weren't sure he would make it through) and he wasn't even aware that it was my birthday. Not a good memory for me - he always found just the right card to give - last year, nothing. I miss him dearly.

I've been half-crazy this past year and have done some things that I wouldn't ordinarily do. I can't make decisions - I flake out on people and I'm really not too happy with myself.. . . .

but, I am trying.

12. I read a book called "Widow" a long time ago...

And some of its lessons have stayed with me.

First, you are crazy for at least the first year. So, make no big or major decisions during that time.

I think that was the big one that I really remembered.

I had a friend who lost her husband traumatically. She went to bereavement groups and did well. It was tough for her.

You might try something like that, if you haven't already...
