So, there's this pack of wild coyotes behind my house that have been howling...
for the last three f'ing nights! It's like Mutual of Omaha's wild kingdom. It's especially bad when they encounter raccoons. The howling and snarling lasts for a good half-hour at least, and typically in the middle of the night.

What am I supposed to do with this pack of wild coyotes? Is there an end to "coyote season?" Will they go find a winter coyote habitat so I can actually sleep in peace?

1. Maybe you could try reasoning with them?
help them arrive at some kind of agreement with the raccoons? I am so glad chipmunks and squirrels are my only problems (varmint related that is;) )

2. You mean have a coyote-raccoon summit?
Interesting idea. ((rubs chin))

5. Perhaps mediated by a cougar and a bunny?
(trying to maintain the BOP in the animal kingdom)

10. Yeah maybe a mountain lion and a bunch of prairie dogs.
That might work.

11. Well now you've moved beyond a summit and into a whole
NATO situation, I don't know if the prairie dogs will go for that;)

3. What state do you live in?

I think I saw one once where I live in CT. It was in my front yard under a shrub right after a snowstorm and then it ran to the back and up the hill.

8. I never actually SEE them, but I hear them.

I do see a lot of foxes, however. At least I did when I lived in Northern CO.

Maybe it's some high schoolers hiding behind bushes and making howling noises?

9. That's great, but unfortunately the government is having to bail out the Acme Company.
So I don't know if that would work.

(Meep-beep!)

12. Well the coyote will just have to get his ineffective and expensive
devices from some other member of the military-industrial complex.

I'll suggest Blackwater.
