In the top pocket of the the backpack? On the ground at the last campsite you cooked at? In the pocket of your fleece or windbreaker? Those are the places where I usually find my doohicky...

On the bright side, it's pretty easy to use a thick sock in it's place, just don't dip the sock in your food by accident... ;)
