10. Well, he's the owner of the business, and it's really nothing more then nude pin-up style
stuff (Playboy/Maxim type), at least when he uses my computer and doesn't wipe the browsing history. I've never had any desire to see what he's got bookmarked on *his* computer though.

28. That's when I post the most, at work.
At home I have to much to do, cook, clean, help with homework. For me, my escape is when I am at work. At least where I work everybody leaves me the hell alone. The perks of being a writer, is that they expect me to be online looking at websites. So they can't really say anything.

8. Yes. In our "own time" we can surf the web...
... our system is nicely firewalled at work. No Youtube, no Myspace, no Facebook. but yes to most other places. Just don't download software (so no IM, except for our own internal one). And yes, my boss knows. It's my "liberal news site" to my coachees at work.

Mark.

I have never tried
I'm the boss. I have to set an example. Plus I'm too busy to do anything for personal enjoyment 12 hours out of the day.

12. Every day I DU it
I got caught on Thursday afternoon; I returned to my office (I only go back once a week for time sheets, and such) to print out my homework, which I posted on DU (I don't have Word on my computer). The boss showed up on the computer I was on to close everything down, and the program he had open, was my DU post.

When I used to be an office worker, I always had DU open in a tab.

so it doesn't look as much like a messageboard. Also, most sig lines are gone.

I told my boss I was just reading the news. Now if he'd've caught me checking my fantasy football team, I'd really have been in trouble...lol.

30. I used to quite often, back when I worked a 9-5 job
I'm sure I got "caught" once or twice, but never quite so flagrantly that I couldn't talk my way out of it--it never went on my permanent record or anything

And some of my co-workers know about it but they go on-line for non-work related stuff too so no one ever says anything. I've never been caught by one of the big bosses though.

33. We aren't even allowed to have internet access at our office computers
We can use the owner's computer to access the internet in front of him if we really need to. Since we are being directly watched though and yelled at if something is taking too long, it is better not to.
When we tell our business contacts that we cannot access their website, I think that it makes us look unprofessional.
