Insults being hurled between my 8 year old and 3 year old.....
"You're John McPoop!" "You're John McFart" And the one that made the three year old cry and come to me in outrage......"You're John McCain!"

lmfao

Nope, we're not a political family at all.

6. It was the three year old that said that! And then after I said the
clash of name calling had stopped, it started again. This time it was, "You're wolf killer Sarah Palin!" "No! You're Sarah Palin!" "Well, you're George Bush!"

lol

Now, my 8 year old who has a stomach virus today is watching Disney's the "Sword in the Stone" and when it got to the Madam Mim part, he said, "Look Mom! Sarah Palin is in this movie!" lmfao

That kid has way too grown up a sense of humor already. He only just turned 8 in July too.

:)

:loveya: I love my kids! :loveya:

7. If the eight-year-old would only agree to town-hall style meetings...
...the whole tone of recess would be different.

9. Hilarious
My 8 year old brought me a handwritten note yesterday that said "John McCain is a stupid liar". Normally I do not condone him saying things like that and would give him a stern talking to about calling people names, but I've also taught him to tell the truth.

What's a mom to do?

of John McCain. I try to discourage name calling, also - but dang,
your son is 100% right!

I tell my son,( in a similar situation)
" you are right- but let's not call them stupid,OK?"

You have one smart kid there!

:)

13. I so feel you here. I have had a lot of talks with him though,
about not calling the President rude names at school, because we are living on a military base. I tell him that he can voice his opinion, and he can be critical of the President, but he can't just call names. lol

Walking a fine, fine line there we are.

15. I think it's because politics has so affected our family.....
The kids, (youngest excepted), but especially the oldest have seen their Dad go off to war twice now. And they know that Mom and Dad didn't vote Bush even once, and in all honesty, when my husband and I have a tiff, one of us is bound to call the other a "Closet Republican".

 We're kind of weird.....I admit it.
