Question about perfume

In the 1980's my mother bought me some perfume (parfum) from Paris. It was called Raffinee.

I haven't seen it in stores to smell it, and I've been reading about it, & the perfume was apparently sold to another manufacturer (perfume house, I think they call them?).

Question: Do you think it is the same stuff?

1. intersting... I would think they would use the same "recipe"

however their sources might be different. :shrug: I have never heard of Raffinee. Do you consider it to be your signature fragrance?

depends on my mood!

But, lately, I've missed my Raffinee. :-( I finally used the last of it a year or so, ago. When my husband went through Paris, recently, I asked him to look for it there. He couldn't find it. That's when I decided to go online.

Joy (the fragrance) always reminds me of my mother, too. It was her fav & I put some on her while she was in the hospital (much to the dismay of the medical personnel!!!).

This would explain why I like it: orange blossom, bergamot and tuberose. Blended with notes of carnation, vetiver and cinnamon...

I learned from an Organic Chemistry professor once what "scents" they combine to make up perfumes..By themselves pretty stinky..but combined together...nice. I don't wear perfume myself being irritated by the odors but the science is kinda cool...
