18. The part of the picture that I cropped out is my sister and older brother.

He was here in Tucson for a short visit from his home near Chicago.

We had a semi large family gathering with pie for dessert and games of hearts.

My sister and I have managed to digitize about half of the slides my father
took while we were growing up.

I put them on a digital picture frame and my 89-yr old father took a
trip back in time watching those pictures.

So, yeah, it was a good day!

40. I'm managing to hang on pretty well.

I have detoxed off the med that caused the problems last week. All I have left is a bit of a stutter. I might need some speech therapy to get rid of that.

Without that med I'm having more problems with pain in my hands, feet, arms and legs again. Pain totally hurts, a lot, and morphine doesn't help much with this type of pain. So it's a bit of a challenge finding ways to enjoy life.

But I'm still managing. :)

I went to a Renaisance Faire with friends yesterday. I have a Wizard Rock Restival in 2 weeks that I've been helping to organize for the last 7 months. I'm visiting GrayWarrior at the end of this month and might get to see lukasahero too! I am going to Montreal for the American Thanksgiving. So I'm excited about all the good stuff that's going on.

I just have to survive well enough to get to all of these places.

I hope you have lots of great stuff happening too, and a lot fewer challenges. :hug:

It's one of the rock climbs at Acadia. We went the easy route because we were either young and inexperienced, or old, infirm and inexperienced. It was beautiful from the top and we met lots of nice people going up and down.

I started using antiobiotic ointment instead of zit meds on my skin. It works so much better (jes' thought I'd share). :D

maybe he knows all about it already but I didn't, until someone told me to look for MACRO in the instruction book.. however the camera has to be set to take 'macro' pictures. It still takes patience, like you have to snap it 5 to 10 times to get a great shot.


(I could totally do an ad for Pro-Active the last few months, a old sorta-buddy told me to order it, so I did, and wasn't amazingly impressed at first. But then I ran out of it for a few weeks and immediately started breaking out. Now I've got a new shipment and I'm already clearing up.
Acne at practically forty is just not fair :()
