:eyes:

Seriously, it wasn't good at all.

At least Reagan could put words together in an interesting way. Probably because he was telling way better lies that had a lot more exciting literary/oratorical potential; but still. Just sayin'.

What a total fucking load of crap.

1. And you were expecting maybe ???
The man isn't rhetorician nor orator nor even a saleman. He can't fire up a good barn burner if his life depended upon it.

His party is in disarray. If he came out for God, Country and Mom's apple pie, some group within the party would be pissed. That happens when my way or else ideology takes over.

A fair share of the party still hate his guts for his 'maverick' stands; so he has to tip toe around them. Probably why Sarahcuda got the nod.

Was he going to point with pride to the remarkable accomplishments of the Repugs for past eight years? Hell, he had to promise change. Even Hubert Humphrey had an easier job. At least LBJ got some good things done.

So, Noun verb POW; noun verb change, noun verb maverick; George Bush who?; did I mention I lived in a box for five years? (Yawn)

2. I feel asleep
twice. The only good part was the backdrop. Was supposed to be Walter Reed Army Hospital I think but was actually Walter Reed Middle School. I guess the googles don't work for those guys.

3. I'm surprised they didn't put up a picture of the good doctor himself.
Was I the only one who flashed on the Stonehenge fiasco in Spinal Tap?

It was the Middle School.

9. If you haven't seen Spinal Tap, it's well worth a look.
You'll never watch a rock documentary in quite the same way again.

5. Notice that he never mentions Dubya by name
not even once. On the transcript I read he didn't even utter the phrase "President Bush" and he refers to Poppy as "the 41st president"! He name-checks Pickles, though--guess he figures she's a safe bet since her approval rating is likely higher than that of the nitwit she calls a husband.

6. Yeah - didn't mention Barbara, either. But did mention Laura.
As a model of "grace and kindness".

:wtf:

8. Am I the only one who heard Hulk Hogan's theme song at the end?
Fight for what's right
Fight for your life

I am a real American
