arrrrgghhhh! I hate UDF now (United Dairy Farmers)

[The Straight Story]

It was my daughter's first day of school so I took her to get an ice cream from UDF. Got myself a chocolate malt as well I might add :)

After getting all the stuff I needed I paid (after waiting in line forever, the cashier screwed up the order ahead of us and it took forever. I was due $38 in change.

The lady handed me $33. I handed it back saying there was a 5 missing. She held onto the money, figured out how to print the receipt, and then said "Oh, ok, Here is your 38" and handed me back the same money I handed her, after counting it wrong twice.

I handed it back again telling her I was still short 5. The manager was there near the safe at the time and said she saw her count it 3 times. Said she would take my number and call me later if the drawer was over. I said no, I would wait now. She counted the drawer, went to the office, and came out and said 'She's only $1.47 over, sorry'.

All this took nearly a half hour (and I didn't ask them to pull the video tapes...but was tempted). I said I was not gonna fight over the $5 but no way in hell I was coming back there ever. I emailed corporate office and they wrote back 'we talked to the manager and she said she saw her count it three times and was only a little over....'

Being out of work right now, $5 means something. That the cashier screwed up the order before me in a similar fashion (she was new, and it was finally resolved in that person's favor) I was a little perturbed.

The money never left plain site....I dunno, just needed to blow off some damn steam about it all.
