Wanna have the POOP scared right out of you?
Edited on Fri Sep-05-08 08:27 AM by MrsGrumpy
Yes? Well then have your screen door (thanks kids for swinging it recklessly open and shut so that it doesn't latch, unless you pull it shut with the force of Hulk Hogan 20 years ago) swing wide open due to wind at 3AM while you are sleeping on the couch. Yes indeedy. Brought my son running from his bedroom to come cuddle (don't tell him I told you). Hard to be reassuring when you, yourself, are a bit freaked out. Stupid wind.

3. Me too.
I get neurotic about checking and rechecking the locks and yet, I still worried. I let my imagination "hear" someone messing with the door handle. :loveya:

5. It's better to be safe though.
Know what I mean! :) ;)

I do that too sometimes. It's a natural reaction.

2. Gaah, I hate when that happens!
From a deep sleep.. to be thrust into sudden hyper-awareness because of a sound you can't really identify right away.

That can certainly rattle the nerves.

:hi:

Completely.
I've had troubles feeling safe, here by myself with the kids. That surely didn't help. :)

7. I had something like that happen to me.
Except it really was somebody opening the door to our garage and knocking over the bicycles...I was probably 13 or 14 at the time. The noise scared them off, but huddling and waiting in my mothers bedroom 20 minutes for the police to come were the longest 20 minutes of my life.

8. oh yeah! That wind last night was really something! Broke
a few limbs off the trees here. One HUGE crack and then rustling, almost sounded like fireworks going off. Made me jump up and take a look outside.

Seems more calm today. We can use more rain though.

11. That it was.
Glad nothing was destroyed. It is looking stormy here right now, so hopefully we'll get some rain today.
