Snow Leopard painting

So I took some lousy photos of Chloe the snow leopard at Big Cat Rescue in Tampa:



and turned them into a 24" x 36" oil and acrylic summer snow leopard scene in Bhutan (the purple scanned very badly-it's not that bright and light at all):



It's a bit too busy, but it was kind of fun to paint-and I learned a lot about snow leopards (which should be called "rock leopards" because snowy environments aren't their first choice) and the flora and fauna of the Himalayas.

Snow Leopards are among the most impressive cats on the planet. Those huge, fluffy tails are amazing!

16. Awww, what a cutie! That leopard looks pretty young

yeah, the tails always just amaze me too. I guess that they are VERY muscular and are used for balance while running along cliff walls.
