I'm so thankful that my rain isn't at the expense of 10 levees in NOLA breaking, though.

They were overtopped in some places, but it looks like they held...

1. It's monsoon season in central Mississippi!

But fortunately, we still have electricity and water. And I have several bags of ice in the freezer that, as it turns out, I didn't need!

And thank God the levees held in NOLA!

2. Yes indeed, thank God.

Although I still can't help but snarkily suggest that Focus on the Family ought to apologize for asking their people to pray for rain. God may have a sense of humor and all, but I'd have preferred it had He actually put the rain where it would affect the people who prayed for it most.
