Guess where TM is?
Downstairs, asleep in her bed.

Had to go get her yesterday and take her to the ER. The medication for the strep wasn't working and had a mouth full of mouth ulcers. So bad, in fact, they gave her Vicodin for them. (Now THAT was funny. TM doesn't do narcotics, well)

Gave her another Rx for an antibiotic and one for Magic Mouthwash which will help the ulcers.

She's so sick, it breaks my heart.

But, I gotta say, I'm not unhappy that she's here and sick and not there. Apparently, strep is going around her floor. Two other kids were diagnosed today. So, I'm kind of glad she's here.

Profs were great, too. Thanked her for not coming to class and spreading it.

:woohoo:

1. Poor kiddo.
I hope she mends quickly--it sucks severely that she caught strep. :-(

5. The ulcers are the worst. Her mouth is horrific.
Yesterday the ER Doc counted 32 of them and then gave up. :wow:

She comes by it naturally. I walked down the aisle with 30. And a severe case of strep.

The licodaine wash is awesome; totally takes the pain away, but because the sores are open, she can only use it every 2 hours due to the cardiac risk.

2. Oh sure. We all know she got knocked up and dropped out.

Tell her I said to get better soon. And that I sure hope she wasn't contagious yet when I was there.

4. LOL. Actually, the ER doc DID ask if that was a possibility.
She started with symptoms last Thursday, so I think you're safe.

8. Let me tell you. I would pay HUGE bucks for a product
that cures these sores. They're viral, so you just have to bide your time. :(

which is good because with all my other health issues, I couldn't be down for the count with kid diseases.
