because I grew up in Millsap Texas and the nearest lake was Possum Kingdom I have been going there my whole life. It wasnt until I lived in Florida and mentioned that the first time I rode a motorcycle was up to Possum Kingdom Lake and everyone thought that was so hilarious that I even thought about how dumb sounding that name was.

Jersey Shore is weird only because it's way inland about 150 miles from the Jersey shore. The others are probably all words or names from local Native American tribes.

102. In Pennsylvania's defense, it was Ohio that allowed a town to be named Chagrin Falls
and Connecticut that allowed a town to be named Cos Cob, and even a street named Mianus View Terrace in Cos Cob. Although Mianus itself can be found in Tennessee and New Jersey.
