1. I'm about an hour and a few minutes southwest of Asheville ..
didn't know you lived there! :hi:

Just gray and overcast here - some rain last night, though.

9. Wow, that sure is low.
I used to live in the Land of Waterfalls near the FB river and every spring it would flood and we'd miss a day of school since we couldn't get out. However, the little mice would sure find their way into our house. It was never as low as the photo you posted. I sure hope you guys get a lot of rain. Western NC should be green and lush.

10. I should point out that the concrete pad
on the bridge footing is normally under 8-10" of water in summer

12. How dreadful that it's so low.
I lived in Asheville as a kid and it was always beautiful in the summer and we had those wonderful thunderstorms.

16. Drove home yesterday from a family reunion in Gainesville, GA to
Chapel Hill, NC on IS 85. What a mess. What a downpour! What crazy drivers. The most amazing
thing, though, was I think it took most of the truckers off the road. I've never seen
so few truckers on 85 between Charlotte and home. Hooray.
