Zombies don't need to sleep ever, and their numbers increase exponentially. Eventually, they would exhaust the vampires' food supply. Once humanity is gone the vampires wouldn't have any options available. They can't eat zombies because they don't have blood and it would only turn them into zombies.

Vampires numbers would eventually dwindle through starvation and consumption.
