Off to transport 4 rescued Border Collies
The inside of my Blazer is going to look like a blizzard with the shedding fur of 4 nervous dogs.

What will really be fun is if they don't get along.

Wooooo!

Have a good day Roastnears.

3. You take the dramamine and let the border collies drive
Hey, I know someone who kept getting a rescue border collie every year... eventually he bought a sheep farm for the border collies.

5. Usually you get the border collies for the sheep farm
and not the reverse.

22. It's amazing how many people get sheep for their border collies
Hell, if we could afford the land, we would get it, just so we would have sheep for our Border Collie.

We have to stick him outside if we want to watch anything involving sheep.

9. Thanks flvegan...it is probably less than 1% of the good work you do...
but it is something.

I'm still waiting...the person in the "train" delivering to me is stuck in construction traffic.

12. I once transported my female alpha Boxer
With a female alpha Rottweiler/Lab cross in the back end of a '66 Falcon Wagon. They'd known each other when the Rott/Lab was a pup but hadn't seen each other in over a year.

I just popped them in the back and started driving. They roared and tangled and the whole car swayed from side to side all the way home but it was more noise and posturing than anything else. They had it all figured out by the time we got there (the Boxer was still top dog).

They were 2 of the nicest dogs I ever had, too.

14. Mission accomplished.
3 females, one male. All wonderful dogs.

The dogs were transported to a farm that adopts them out.

One of the girls had a pretty bad eye infection, and she was brought to the on-site vet immediately.

Two of the girls were crated in collapsible canvas crates, and they got in a fight THROUGH THE CRATES. That was interesting.

The boy was un-crated in the back...he slept all the way.

The sweetest shy girl was in the front seat. Wanted to take her home!

Everyone is there safe and sound...and I'm tired.

:hi:

16. The girls were "discussing" a black male lab
who was off leash in the woods today and got sworn at by a dog hater.

21. I just kind of threw this thread in here because I was bored waiting for the dogs...
and I want to thank everyone who responded.

I've been doing this for 3 years now, sometimes every week, so I really don't even think about it that much anymore.

That being said, I do enjoy doing it...it gives me a warm feeling.

Bless all you dog lovers out there.

23. I used to transport rescues here in Georgia.
But due to the high cost of gas, I haven't done it in a while.
