Alright I'm back from volunteering for team Obama in my county

In 84 calls I ran into one racist, and three pumas. One of them was a male.:wow:

1. I made 40 calls in Pa yesterday. The list was crappy....might

as well have been from the phone book: 12 contacts, 9 firm republicans, several hang ups.
We were calling Super Voters, and here in Pa, that translates to Republicans.
Sigh.

2. I had one guy say to me

"Obama should go back to where he came from."

After he hung up, I said to somebody "I'd love for somebody to be telling me to go to Hawaii."

3. Keep up the good work!! This is what Obama needs. Activists making calls, knocking on doors, etc

I live in California, which is expected to be an easy win for Obama, so we have been calling New Mexico. There are also going to be periodic trips to Nevada, and I plan on going out there one of those times. (I went there during the primary). Last weekend, I spoke to a strong Obama supporter in NM who used to live in Orange County! (where I live now) I told her about how OC is turning bluer these days, and she mentioned that the little town she lives in (don't remember the name) is where churches burn Harry Potter books! So, if we've got Obama supporters there, things might be looking good in New Mexico!
