Fuck , wasp bites hurt !
They really do !

one little bugger seemed to be hiding in my car, blown in by Fay probably.

I hope I am not allergic , I was never stung by a wasp before , so I don't know.

1. And they can sting repeatedly. One got down my shirt when I was about 10.
I was screaming bloody murder and my mother was trying to yank the shirt off, meanwhile my dad comes running about to yank mom away because he thought she was beating me.

aww sweet memories of youth.

2. Been there! Last month one got up the sleeve of my t-shirt
and got trapped under my arm. Needless to say, it did a job on me trying to get out!

3. Wasp bites don't hurt at all. Wasp stings do.
I'm happy to let wasps bite me whenever they want.

5. I had a wasp fly into my vent once, right into my hand
With predictable results. I'm damn lucky I didn't crash my car as I screamed, pulled over, and did what they tell you that you should never, ever do: grabbed the stinger and pulled it out.

By nightfall, my hand looked like an inflated surgical glove, and my entire arm ached like a tourniquet had been applied just below the shoulder.

I eventually got cellulitis in my hand, which required a round of antibiotics.

Good times. God, I hate those fucking things.

7. I think you have to be stung once to develop the antibodies to be allergic.
So you could be allergic the next time you get stung. Yes they do hurt. I hate bee stings more than anything.

9. I got stung in the hand by two last summer.
Ice packs seemed to work best for bringing down the swelling and reducing the pain.
