I just got an email requesting that I remove my liberal ass from the planet

I have a problem with this request, I can't afford to leave the planet. Whatever shall I do?

Seriously though, I pissed off a bunch of people when I hit reply all to a really racist Obama email forward I got about a month ago. I'm still getting nasty email from a bunch of these people with responses such as telling me to go back to the ghetto, etc. It's really interesting to me that when I provide evidence (snopes usually) that what they're forwarding is garbage all they can do is A) send back insults or B) offer to pray for my heathen soul.

Needless to say they're on filter but every time I put one on filter they pop up from a new email address sending some new version of Obama is a Muslim, Obama is sponsored by terrorists, Obama hates America, Obama wipes his ass with the flag, etc. I.e., the kind of shit that made me think the New Yorker cover of the Obamas wasn't funny because it was too close to what so many people actually believe.

I'm really far too thin skinned for this. If they stuck to issues I could debunk that but they go right to the personal insults when they run out of Fox sound bites to throw at me. I tried, I'm not going to change their hateful minds so from now on I'm just going to delete it all regardless of how flamingly ignorant it is.

Giving them that visual idea that will stick in their head was just wrong. Maybe subscribers of the New Yorker are bright enough to get the joke but that picture was on magazine racks EVERYWHERE.
