What digital camera should I buy?
I want under $200, durable and decent.

I've had three digital cameras break over my lifetime, and I want one that can stand the abuse.

1. I would go with the Kodak Easyshare
z812. Big like a real camera. 8 megapixels and the longest optical lenss made. Lot os features too. Fully auto or fully manual. Fairly fast lens at the lowest zoom setting. Should be on ebay for about 179 or so. If you can go to 250 then the 10 mp version is the best.

3. Ask in the Photography Group.
They often discuss that very question for interested individuals.

7. I second Bennyboy's advice.
I've had two Kodak cameras (upgraded to 8 megapixels from 5) and loved them both.

9. i have a fuji fine pix, i do not recommend it and i have a canon power shot
also a thumbs down, i got it about 3 years ago, it broke, i sent it in to be repaired and it's never worked the same since. The next camera i buy will either be an Olympus or a nikon. I have been a loyal canon buyer for 20 years but no more.

11. i don't know, i have a 20 year old Canon rebel that i never had one problem with
then my fist digital was the fuji and it died after about 1000 pics, so i got the canon power shot and my daughter got a small canon, mine died after a year and half and hers died after a year. I am really disappointed and if it was just the one that died i could deal with that but both, well that's it, no more canon for me.

16. I have a Nikon Coolpix.
I like it; it has a nice, big screen, it's easy to use, and it's small and thin and doesn't take up much room in your pocket.

17. Nikon. I've had mine since LK was a baby and it still works like the day I bought it.
The battery hinge cover is a bit loose, but that's all. Which is great considering it's almost seven years old.
